Doctrinal Beliefs
The foundation of our beliefs and the only infallible authority for glorifying and enjoying God is the Bible, which is the Word of God comprised of the Old and New Testaments. With a high view of Scripture and a practice of expositional preaching, Exodus seeks to rightly divide and apply the Word of God.
In summary, we believe and teach that:
The Bible is the written word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit and without error in the original manuscripts. The Bible is the revelation of God’s truth and is infallible and authoritative in all matters of faith and practice.
There is one Trinitarian God, who exists eternally in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
All are sinners and totally unable to save themselves from God’s displeasure, except by His mercy.
God has shown His mercy by sending Jesus Christ to save sinners by His grace alone, not based on any human works.
Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, who through His perfect life, sacrificial death, and resurrection atoned for and conquered the sin of all who will trust in Him, alone, for salvation.
God is gracious and faithful to His people according to His covenant promises.
The Holy Spirit indwells God’s people and gives them the desire, ability, and wisdom to trust Christ and follow Him.
Jesus will return, bodily and visibly, to judge all humanity from all ages and to receive His people to Himself.
All aspects of our lives are to be lived to the glory of God under the Lordship of Jesus Christ for the purpose of sharing His love with others.
In addition, The Westminster Standards, which consist of the Confession of Faith, Larger Catechism, and Shorter Catechism, are a comprehensive statement of what we believe the Bible teaches and have been subscribed to by our denomination, the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) as a faithful expression of Biblical truth.
Covenant Baptism
Per Acts 2:39—along with other passages in Scripture—Exodus joyfully practices covenant baptism.
We baptize those who come to faith in Christ as well as the children of believers, trusting God’s promises to be for us and for our children. Baptism is a sign and seal of God’s covenant grace, marking His claim on His people and welcoming them into the visible church.

The Lord’s Supper
Typically on the first Sunday of each month, we gather around the Lord’s table to remember and proclaim what Jesus has done for us.
This meal is for those who belong to him—believers who trust that Jesus lived, died, and rose again, and who take these truths personally:
He died for your sins.
He was raised for your justification.
He will return as your Lord and King.
If that is not yet your faith, you’re still welcome and we invite you to watch and consider what the bread and cup mean. Perhaps the day will come when you will join us in faith in taking them.
If you do trust in Christ, you are welcome at this table, whether or not you’re a communing member of Exodus, so long as you have publicly professed your faith and are part of a Bible-believing church. Together we share this meal in remembrance of Jesus and in anticipation of the day we will feast with him face to face.
